KVCS

Kindergarten

Class overview

In Kindergarten, students will learn to read, how to compute basic math concepts such as addition and subtraction, and how to write. They will also expand their social skills, explore the world around them, and most importantly establish biblical foundations.

Proverbs 22:6

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

About me

My name is Rachel Mitchell and I am the kindergarten teacher at KVCS. I am starting my 14th year of teaching and have spent the past seven years in this position. I have been a Christian since I was young and grew up in a Christian family in northern Idaho. As a child and into adulthood, I attended a non-denominational church and, when I moved to Montana four years ago, I began attending Faith Bible Church. For schooling, I went to college at Whitworth University and got a bachelor's degree in psychology. I then earned my master’s in elementary teaching through Western Governors University.
